It draws shoppers who prioritize aesthetics and brand prestige alongside everyday utility.
The 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Velar has not been crash-tested by NHTSA, so it carries no Safety Index. Its safety record here is built from 1 recall and 1 owner complaint on file, giving it a light recall and complaint burden.

Reviewers generally praise the Velar's striking exterior design and its exceptionally refined, minimalist interior as standout qualities in the segment. Driving dynamics are described as composed and comfortable, with the SUV feeling more car-like than truck-like on pavement. Most reviewers acknowledge that the ownership experience can be complicated by the vehicle's technology complexity and overall value proposition relative to German competitors.
