The 2020 Volvo V60 Cross Country is a lifted, all-wheel-drive wagon that blends Scandinavian practicality with light off-road capability. Aimed at active families and professionals who want estate-car versatility without committing to a full SUV, it sits in a small but loyal niche. Volvo's reputation for safety engineering gives this model a strong starting premise, but the federal data tells a more nuanced story.
The 2020 Volvo V60cc has not been crash-tested by NHTSA, so it carries no Safety Index. Its safety record here is built from 3 recalls and 4 owner complaints on file, giving it a light recall and complaint burden.

Reviewers generally praise the V60 Cross Country for its composed, car-like driving dynamics and the elevated ride height that adds genuine versatility without sacrificing refinement. Interior materials and cabin finish draw consistent approval, and the wagon body style earns credit for blending everyday comfort with practical load capacity. Some reviewers note the model occupies a narrow market position that may limit cross-shopping appeal.
